  1. Roots usually grow round in seedlings trays, in the Plunter the roots reach to the edge of the soil block and are air pruned until the block is planted into soil the roots then continue to grow out as normal
  2. The seedling suffers no transplanting shock when planted into the soil, which could delay development of the plant by a week.
  3. No piles of old seedling trays.
  4. Start seeds germinating earlier in the season.
